Is player-to-player trading allowed on ArdreamWorld?

Yes, and the server opened it on purpose. The 29 November 2024 winter update shut down KC sales on the server side and left KC for legal trading between players. Since then KC only comes from CR and events, so anyone short on KC buys it from another player.

Short answer

To sell a character on ArdreamWorld, buy a 50.000 KC Character Seal Scroll from the PUS, seal the character into a Cypher Ring and trade the ring. Items sell through merchants, and KC changes hands as KC Vouchers that Patara in Moradon turns back into KC.

How to sell a character on ArdreamWorld with Character Seal

Selling a character does not mean handing over your account: the character goes into a ring, and the ring changes hands.

  1. Buy a Character Seal Scroll from the PUS for 50.000 KC.
  2. Log in with a different character on the same account. The character you are playing cannot be sealed.
  3. Use the scroll, pick the character to seal from the list and type your account's lock password.
  4. The character turns into a Cypher Ring. Right-click the ring to see the character inside.
  5. Hand the ring over by trade or through a merchant.
  6. The buyer uses the ring and unseals the character into an empty slot on their own account.

Each account has 4 character slots and a ring only opens into an empty one, so keep at least 1 slot free before you buy. The lock password is the 8-character password set at registration, not your login password.

When does sealing fail?

  • The character is in a clan: leave the clan first.
  • The character is king: no sealing while the reign lasts.
  • The character is in prison or still muted.
  • The lock password is wrong.
  • Something in the inventory is blocked from sealing; the game shows a separate warning for it.

How to sell items: merchant and offline merchant

Items sell through the in-game merchant, both selling and buying merchant. Edit Merchant arrived with the winter update, so you can change prices and items without closing the shop and listing everything again.

  • Item links: Shift + Right Click links an item in chat or PM, and the other player sees its stats.
  • Cheaper listing alert: if the shop you are browsing has the same item cheaper, the game messages you.
  • Offline merchant: [Arty] Offline Merchanting costs 1 KC in the PUS. You wear it for 1 month, and your shop stays up until a server restart or your next login.
  • Dual client: copying the client and running a 2nd client on the same PC to keep a shop open is allowed.

How to sell KC: KC Vouchers and Patara

KC moves between players as KC Vouchers. You buy a voucher in the PUS for its face value, trade it, and the buyer cashes it in with [KC Exchanger] Patara in Moradon for the same amount of KC. Patara stands right next to Kaira.

Vouchers stack in the inventory. For big deals the 50.000 and 100.000 vouchers take the least room in the trade window.

FAQ

Can Cross Exchange be used to sell items?
No. Cross Exchange changes the costume look of PUS items and gear you already own, from the CROSS EXCHANGE button in the inventory. It does not sell or trade anything.
